2. What was your motivation to attend Leadership Fayette? My desire to become involved in my community and county was my motivation to attend Leadership Fayette. I wanted to be a part of something that I can contribute my time, share my thoughts and lend a helping hand. Also, by joining, I thought this would be a great opportunity to collaborate with community and county leaders about the challenges our county face. Lastly, I wanted to build relationships and life-long friendships through networking.

3. What have you personally gotten out of your involvement in Leadership Fayette? Leadership Fayette has enabled me to connect with like-minded leaders in my county from various professions and backgrounds. We all share the same goal—to make Fayette County an even better place to live and work for generations to come.

4. How did attending Leadership Fayette influence you as a leader? During these uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic, it taught me how to overcome adversity as I completed Leadership Fayette. As a leader, I learned that you cannot allow the challenges that arise to be a deterrent of the goal that is set before you— we must continue forward. We as leaders have to be adaptable to the times that we are in. Although we are in challenging times, we still have work to do. As leaders, we finish strong.

5. Would you encourage others to get involved with Leadership Fayette? Why? Absolutely! I encourage individuals of all five cities and five towns and in every unincorporated community who have a desire to be a change agent and leader to be a part of Leadership Fayette.

6. What positive impact are you planning on having on Fayette County as a result of attending Leadership Fayette? I plan on serving the county in any capacity that I can. Moreover, I plan to be involved with Fayette County Public Schools, the local government and non-profit organizations.

7. How does attending Leadership Fayette prepare you for your next career goal? Attending Leadership Fayette has been a stepping stone for my future since I have aspirations of becoming a servant of my county as an elected official.
