LF Alumni Spotlight : McCall Wilson LF class of 2003

1. What are some of the things you appreciate most about Fayette County?

What really makes Fayette County great is our citizens. It doesn’t matter if they have lived here their entire life or just moved here from the “City”, I believe our neighbors are the best in the State.

2. What was your motivation to attend Leadership Fayette?

An important part of life is learning and growing as a person, Leadership Fayette provides that opportunity.

3. What have you personally gotten out of your involvement in Leadership Fayette?

Life-long friendships, improved leadership skills and a better understanding of the political process in our State.

4. How did attending Leadership Fayette influence you as a leader?

Leader Fayette introduced me to leaders that were using their position and skills to make positive changes in our communities.

5. Would you encourage others to get involved with Leadership Fayette? Why?

Absolutely. Leadership Fayette will help you grow as an individual, and a business leader. 6. What positive impact are you planning on having on Fayette County as a result of attending Leadership Fayette?

Leadership Fayette showed me how much effort people before me have put in to make our county better. I’m going to try to emulate that. I hope to continue the hard work that so many individuals have done and make Fayette County an even better place to live.

7. How did attending Leadership Fayette prepare you for your current and/or next career?

I always tell people that “I have the best job in the world. I get to make dreams come true.” I take my role very seriously as President and CEO of The Bank of Fayette County. Our goal is to serve our communities and help our customers achieve their dreams. Attending Leadership Fayette helped me acquire the skills to manage our growth from three locations in one county in 2001 to twelve locations in five counties today.
